Blanca Rochin
Principal, Downey Adult School
Blanca Rochin is the 2020 ACSA State Adult Education Administrator of the Year recipient. She received her bachelor’s degree from Azusa Pacific University, her teaching credential from the University of California, San Diego and her master’s in educational leadership degree from Concordia University, Irvine.
She began teaching anatomy and physiology at a private school setting in 2000, then joined the Downey Unified School District team in 2003 as a CTE teacher (medical assistant teacher) at Downey Adult School. Her passion for education and leadership skills allowed her to move into administration- as the Assistant Principal in 2007 and now is serving as the Principal of Downey Adult School since 2010.
